Air conditioning for bedrooms: what should you consider?

A bedroom needs more than a system that can make the room cold. Quiet operation, gentle airflow, positioning and sensible control matter because the system may be running while you sleep.

Position matters

The unit should be positioned so conditioned air can move through the room without creating an uncomfortable draught directly across the bed. Service access and the external route also need considering.

Noise matters more at night

Sound that is barely noticeable during the day can feel more intrusive in a quiet bedroom. Equipment selection and installation quality both influence the final experience.

Do not oversize just to be safe

Correct sizing is about the actual room load, not simply choosing the biggest unit available. Oversimplified sizing can lead to poor comfort and control.
